Hi there, have you ever wondered why there are no park home retirement communities down near the coast in Spain?

The easiest way to explain it is this. Living in Spain can be described in two ways: tourist Spain and traditional Spain. Tourist Spain includes all the resorts in all the Costas, and there are quite a few. Traditional Spain usually begins about 1 hour inland from the coast.

Traditional Spain is a land of traditional towns and villages, sustained by agriculture and industry. Tourist Spain has resorts with hotels and is fully supported by tourists. With that in mind, it is almost impossible for a community to get a licence in a tourist area. A camping site is preferred, as it can accommodate far more people coming to the area.

Take Corrales Country Park as an example. Being in traditional Spain, it is a community within a community. The local village and town appreciate having a retirement community of people who love Spain and strive to integrate into the local Spanish way of life.

Another big advantage of a retirement community based in traditional Spain is that residents don’t pay tourist prices, and there is always room in bars and restaurants during the summer.

For people who want to wake up every morning feeling like they are on holiday, the answer is to find a campsite with mobile homes. The downside is that plot sizes will be smaller and fees higher.

For people who want to wake up every morning and enjoy a community lifestyle in a traditional part of Spain, the answer is Corrales Country Park in the village of Los Corrales.
